Expressive Arts Virtual Showcase

We hope you had a restful half term and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We just wanted to thank everyone for their support of the Virtual Showcase of the Expressive Arts. To everyone, from the students who performed in the concert, to the parents who helped film, or to those of you who bought a ticket, thank you so much for helping us to support the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, who are improving the lives of marginalised young people across the UK. We would also like to especially thank Mr Whelpdale and Miss Wassell for helping us create the showcase, Ms Costello and Miss Gokani for helping publicise the event, and Mr Haynes, Mrs Rose and Mrs Bott, in particular, for helping us throughout the process.

We would like to announce that we managed to raise a total of £273.90 which is a phenomenal amount! Thank you also for the lovely emails we have received regarding the showcase, we are so glad that you all enjoyed it!

Thank you again,

Connie and Carmel

Back again!

After being online for the last 10 weeks we haven’t been able to upload on the blog but, fear not, because now we are back in school, we will be updating the blog post as regularly as we can.

Due to the current climate, many of the Expressive Arts events that would be held are not able to go ahead. However, we are holding a Virtual Showcase of the Expressive Arts. This will be a video with submissions from the girls which could contain Art, Music, Drama and Dance. This is a fantastic opportunity for the girls to showcase their talent but also for everyone to see the hard work of the pupils. We encourage everyone from all years and abilities to enter. Please look at the poster attached as this holds all the information needed to enter the showcase.

In terms of charity events this is a fundraiser for the Stephen Lawrence Foundation and tickets will be available to purchase at a later date, once all the submissions have been entered.

It is nice to be back and starting to get involved with the school community again, so this event is a great opportunity to showcase what the students have been up to whilst in the current climate.

We look forward to seeing your creative submissions,

C and C
