An introduction to the Expressive Arts Committee Leaders

My name is C and I’m one of the Expressive Arts Committee Leaders this year.

I took Art at GCSE and this year I am taking A level Art. I am also a grade five flautist, and I have been playing the flute since I was eight years old. I’ve had a keen interest in the Arts from an early age and have I found them to be an enjoyable outlet for my creativity.

Hello, my name is C, I am in Year 12 and currently studying Biology, Drama and Chemistry; and alongside C, I am one of the new Expressive Arts Committee Leaders.

I applied for the role of Expressive Arts Committee Leader because I wanted the opportunity to be able to represent the Arts in the school. I have always thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful opportunities and events that the school have provided in the past and wish to help to further the opportunities in the future. For me, I believe that all the Arts are very beneficial for all our girls here at LHS, they help to improve confidence and metal health of individuals by allowing people to have a chance to sit down and paint or to act out something, releasing expression. Both C and I wish to emphasise these benefits throughout the events during the year.

In the future, I would like to go on and study Drama at University. I have always loved all Arts subjects however; I really love Drama. For me Drama has always been an interest, I love looking into how a film is produced or how you could act a scene. I am really looking forward to being the Expressive Arts Committee Leader alongside C.

If you’re interested in the any of the Expressive Arts – this is the place for you. On this blog we will be keeping you up to date on the events involving the Expressive Arts around the school and celebrating each other’s achievements.
